The Castle's Inhabitants — Description
First picture of 2012! It seems that's becoming some sort of tradition for me to start the year with sunny, tree-ed pictures. And frames! I love the frame-y. It helps me making somewhat decent compositions.

I sketched this before the end of the year, but did most of the work today, so it gets to be my first pic of 2012.
The guy is supposed to be Simon, from Memory, Sorrow and Thorn, which I'm rereading currently. Slightly before the story begins, judging by his look... The style fits more like how he would remember that time, though, not so much as it "was". The beggining of the series is pretty boring the first time around, but the second time it's enjoyable to get to see so much of the character's somewhat normal life before the mess starts (while knowing about what the heck they are talking about, for a change). I didn't remember the fondness Simon seems to have with little animals and I found it really cute, and so the picture formed in my mind.
Ehm... the style isn't too fitting with the tone of the story, but I'm happy with how this turned out anyway! And hey, it's my fourth piece of fanart. Maybe I'll finish the stupid list when I turn 80!
