The castle of Bouillon near there is nice... I think i've been to Bastogne when i was 6 years old But i'd like to go back... That Sherman tank on the main square is quite famous

didnt see that.....just went to the town and the field were the battle was ....the momument there was impressive too.....that was before digital cameras......  I never looked to see how big Belgium is.  I do remember at one square they were counting cars that were going by.....that makes for a long day...

Thanks for the tip Sebastien! I usually travel by plane and easily forget how convenient train actually is. That is indeed very quick journey, quicker than a trip from Southampton to London. I'm really looking forward to going Which time of the year would you recommend is best to see it?

Though, from Southampton it takes a while from Ostend In the past i've been twice using bus, boat and train... Very long And once on the way back i missed the ferry in Dover... 

I think Belgium has the same climate as Great Britain, you never know how it will be... But in general, from june to september it is fine. September is nicer as the tourist waves ain't as strong as in july or august... But if you want to go to summer music festivals, there are more in june and july. If you'd go from one festival to another non stop... You'd be stuck between 15th of june and 15th of september
