Red Rose

This OOAK necklace is a gift for my husband’s grandmother. The only information I could get from the family with out tipping her off was that she likes the color red. So I truly hope she will enjoy this piece.

I am very grateful to who’s line art I colored in using beads for the rose. It was perfect and so helpful to me. I would not have been able to make the rose without her work. [link]

Technique:
The rose is bead embroidery backed with imitation leather. I did a small tube of spiral tubular peyote stitch as an accent on one side of the asymmetrical necklace. It is really hard to see, but I love the way that part came out. The rest was just stringing.

Materials:
Seed beads, Swarovski crystals, Czech fire polished glass beads, and another one of ’s great handmade claps.
