Description
EDIT: Just couldn't keep my hands off this wench! Fixes, etc.FURTHER EDIT: Still can't keep my hands off! -"-
EVEN FURTHER EDIT: HRRGAAAAAH!
Her name: Emeralda, her race: khoravar (meaning: half-elf), and her job: an airship captain in the service of the Dragonmarked House Lyrandar. An unconventional person, occasionally even crazy, she easily mindcopulates people. Her greatest accomplishment occured when she made *ME* madder than a thrice-lobotomized James Joyce who is roleplaying a Malkavian vampire in the mother-HQ of all LSD parties! RAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGH!
Hours upon hours of toil without a goal or a reference! Dozens of times I nearly deleted the whole picture just out of sheer frustration! Sometimes I claimed this to be my last artwork ever.
The first version I "finished" in January, 2009.
In other words, this picture was... a challenge.
Oh, and the cat in the picture - Emeralda's familiar of course - is a Manul, or Pallas's Cat. (Or it's supposed to be one. I'm not good with animals.)
Tools: Mouse, Paint Shop Pro 7
PS. The Manul's name is Karrn the Conqueror, the best rat-hunting airship cat in existence. Many wonder why this weird-looking creature prefers to suck his prey's blood and leave the carcass. Only the cat and his owner know the nightmarish truth...

Thanks.
200 hours total... I originally thought that the picture was finished after 30 hours, but then perfectionism arrived.

Yes. And because of this condition there are many dead, bloodless rats in the airship.

It's pleasing that sometimes you too just want to someway destroy your own artwork. It means I am not alone.

No, you're not alone. WE are not alone. Don't worry... this periodical mood, this "artistic anguish" is an important part of the deal and actually encourages your creative growth. Proves you're a true artist.

You painted this with a mouse? No wonder you were frustrated. I paint something with a mouse and I usually die!
Very very good job! I love it! The detail is wonderful.

I'm glad you know a good necromancer!
All those troubles were not the fault of my mouse. It was my own impatience and hyper-eagerness. I started painting this without any kind of forethought or planning, and THAT nearly made me madder than usual. I'm REALLY glad it's over now...
Or, guess what?? It's NOT over! I just edited the picture! Fixes! Even after nearly a year I'm still struggling to make it better!
(Or, should I say, bearable to my eyes. )

There are always plans. For example, I have a plan to become the Emperor of the Universe. It isn't proceeding very well...
Thanks for the watch, btw.

Wow...
You, ma'am, have won my respect. My God, I can't believe that you drew/painted this (and all your other works) with a mouse. It's so beautifully done and everything. I'm thoroughly impressed.
