Another among the various plotholes, maybe not of the more important ones, but still, especially after the Extended Cut, when the Catalyst clearly states that the first population processed wasn't in favor of its solution, you could find yourself asking how the Starchild forced the society which created the tecnology of Citadel, Reapers and probably Mass Relays into the Harbinger form.
Since it was put in charge of the future of both organics and synthetics, you'd think such smart organics who programmed it, would also mantain special precaution about the whole thing...
