Description
Lanyon Quoit, one of Cornwall's well known Quoits. Spent the sunset here and afterwards went to Carn Kenidjack. Now there's a place that is creepy with the paranormal at the best of times, and we went there when it was getting dark!Related content

Absolutely breathtaking. I love the foxgloves against the sky. The stuff of poetry!

Nice choice to compose it off centre to allow the flowers some limelight."Lanyon" is one of those names just made for the Cornish accent - "Laaaaaanyunn" !

I was born in Cornwall but I don't often sound Cornish but I think I will have to say Lanyon as Laaaaaaanyun now.

Nearest big main town would be Penzance, so right down the tip of Cornwall.

It's Neolithic, probably 2500BC. It did collapse during a storm in the 1800's but was re-erected minus one of the 4 main pillar stones as one had broken.
