Description
The Sunda Mk. 2 is a sleek, compact and low profile bullpup assault rifle. The most notable feature is the forward ejection system. With one screw on the outside you switch the ejection port cover, and therefore also the side it ejects from. By removing the one piece barrel, gas block and gas tube unit, you can easily swap it out for different barrel lengths or an integrally suppressed barrel. It’s fully ambidextrous, with folding charging handles on both sides, as well as the fire selector, magazine release button and bolt release catch. The hand guard has an integrated 6 o’clock picatinny rail. Side mounted rails are optional. Aftermarket storage kits for the stock are available.

This upgrade is beyond cool!
Some areas look like they would pose a serious challenge to 3D modeling because of very complicated geometry... but I think I'll get to it in time.

Glad you like it! And I have absolute faith in your modeling skills ^^

So basically its a more futuristic lookin Steyr AUG? Nice ^^
Also, what program do you use? Some of the parts look a lot like a little web program that I used for my own designs back in the day (Pimp my gun), but with some serious, after the fact shading and coloring.

Well I wouldn’t go as far as calling it an AUG, but I suppose it is a sleek bullpup ^^
I use Procreate for the iPad Pro. However, this is an update on my old PMG design from dec 2013.

I was referencing the AUG mainly for some of the technical details that you mentioned, like the switchable ejection port (although youd have to change the bolt for that) and the interchangeable barrels. ^^

Ah, I understand
This one doesn’t have an insanely smooth quick change barrel though!

The top one looks like it's a railgun. The bottom one looks more modern (closer to present day while the other gun looks like it belongs farther into the future)

Interesting, because the only real change is a longer hand guard and a suppressor

Actually the fire selector would be operated by the index finger. The barrel switching out is something a gunsmith would do a the bench, not some 30 second in the field kinda thing.

The AUG does exactly that, disconnect the gas system. It has a quick change barrel and it works fantastically.
And the fire selector isn’t further away than the front of the trigger guard, which would be the resting place for your trigger finger.
I would like to point out here that I’m not trying to design the most realistic guns ever. I’m trying to make cool looking guns with a realistic flavor to them. They should be more or less be able to work in real life, but the rest is aesthetics.
The thing is, for an artist/designer, I’m way too stuck in realism already. That’s why everyone is doing these wild and exotic designs and I can’t.
Don’t worry, I don’t mind you nitpicking
Just keep in mind that realism isn’t the goal here.

The button on the pistol grip. The big button behind the magazine is the bolt release catch.

Would that be possible? The X95 has mag release above the trigger like how AR rifles do. I mean don't get the wrong idea. it's good design and all, but wouldn't the mag release on the pistol grip only works on pistol? Ukrainian Malyuk bullpup rifle is somewhat closer, albet the mag release is behind the trigger where you squeeze it to drop the magazine.

Interesting. I’ve seen the rifle before but I didn’t know it was called Malyuk. Either way I suppose it could work. They made it work really smoothly for the X95 too.

Are you mentioning about Ukranian bullpup rifles? I think it was called Vepr and Malyuk, the prototype version of Ukranian Vepr bullpup rifle is somewhat improvement to Vepr and Malyuk was unveiled at 2015.
