I actually drew and colored this about a year ago, just never posted it until now.Don't really know why, but... I think I had a reason.
And I'm posting it now, so... yay me.
(I had a specific thing in mind when I drew it, but interpret it as you will)

An interesting piece. Part of me wants to type for 2 hours on my perceive feeling on the emotions and imagery.

Your artwork seem to bring a lot of memories and feelings a little closer when I watch them. To me, this picture puts to art what I feel like due to my disorders.. every day.. and especially when the most terrible of memories comes creeping. Beautiful.

This sort of struck a nerve with how I felt when I was really bad with apheliaphobia (fear of physical contact). This literally is just what it felt like. It bugged me to no end.

I'm not sure, but none of these hands seem really bad to me... I saw it as missing a former lover who broke her heart, and she's remembering their loving touches, before everything went bad, and she's just insanely missing him or something

That's about the same as I was thinking. Thought after reading some of the other comments I had to agree that you can interpret it in a many number of ways.

She looks like a woman haunted either by the memory or the actual ghost of dead lover unwilling to move on.

This reminds me of the scene near the end of Poltergiest, when the mother is molested by an unseen force, or as the Novlization put it, "...Something foul was kissing her."

i think she's feels raped- but not physically. something or someone she loved has betrayed her and left her to be exposed, raw and alone to the world even in some place where she should feel safe- her bedroom

At first, I thought of rape/gang banging. But after looking at it, I think more molestation than anything. A very vulnerable girl lying naked in a bed being touched all over by unseen hands as she zones out the world to hide in her mind...

This may be strange, but I interpreted the hands as behaving lovingly. (or at least some of them, like the ones touching her hair, her hand, her chin and her shoulder.) Those could possibly be interpreted as the memory of lovers who have come and gone, or died. The others could too, but they range from neutral to seemingly malevolent, so I'll summarize it as memories of people who touched her, not just physically but emotionally, touched her soul if you will, for better or for worse.

Something in her eyes and the location of some of the hands makes me feel dirty/bad just for looking at this, like I'm part of the problem... I couldn't not fave this since it evokes a lot of feeling. That's just my impression though.

Maybe she feels alone, and all the hands are those of family, friends, and lovers, but she doesn't really see them. She just feels isolated.

I know so many have said similar things before me, but I cannot +fav a piece and then *not* comment on it, even if I am being redundant.
This piece is amazingly done. I connected to it almost immediately, because it reminds me of my nightmares, grasping, and never letting go, even in my waking hours. I don't know what inspired this piece, but I hope that after a year, it is no longer holding you in its grasp.
