i meant to upload something like this months ago. this is a method i learned in school for preparing traditional lineart so that it can be coloured digitally more easily.its also useful for when artists provide flattened images of lineart for others to color. this method will lift the lineart from the white, leaving you with what the artist originally drew.
i hope this helps people!
edit: confirmed programs
this works with versions as early as PHOTOSHOP 7 all the way up to PHOTOSHOP CS5.

I've been trying to figure out how to make my pencil lineart look decent with mixed results (I've been manually erasing the white pixels D: )
