Description
The beginning of my new post-apocalyptic wanderer/scavenger/trader-gear to be used in the zones of the S.P.A.R.C-universe.I DID NOT MAKE THIS ENTIRE GEAR!
I only scratchmade the m4 magpouches, holster, pistolmag pouches, canteenpouch, shoulderplate, shouldernet, belt and buttpack. The rest is just patinated old clothes and crap so far
Will not use the g36c, will custom rebuild a WE m4a1 to fit this gear
Now, this gear (like all first drafts) is not done. To be added to this is mainly a undercoat, better scarf, scabbed out leather bracers and the primary gun.
GUN SHOWN IN THIS PICTURE IS NOT A REAL GUN! NO REAL FIREARMS ARE FEATURED IN MY GALLERY!

Truly epic no matter how many times I see this pop up in my favorites I still get a kick out of it. I noticed you said you Patinated the clothing. I tried looking up the process but just came up with the normal stuff about metal. It looks killer, any tips where I could find out more about it?

Well I used oilbased spraypaints, sandpaper and acids in this case to make it look more worn. Now it looks even more so after a few sessions of use, but I couldn't well be runnin around the first few times lookin all GAP

This is awesome, do you know of anymore, if not yourself that create post-apocalyptic clothing? Would really love the help for a university art and graphics project!
Thanks in advance

not really, i guess the best bet would be to search for it in the cosplaysection here or somethin=/
Try searchin for, like, "fallout" and "nuclear" etc aswell as noteveryone's familiar with the term PA

Just out of curiosity, and the fact that I think you'd get tired of me posting "Omg! I love your work!" on every one of your images (because I would), I'll ask another question!
Is the picture of you? If so, even though I can't see the top half of your face, you're awfully cute, sir haha. XD

Always wanted to make gear like this, the half armor, half wasteland, rough and tumble type gear. The eclectic mix of different things in this so perfectly flow together here to fully achieve the final product.
You so have to show me how to make some of this. I can never get the strapping or clasps right. You have a product that looks like it's functional, mine always look like they were built in a dimly lit garage by me... with duct tape...

haha, first, just put yourself in the characters position, enviroment and needs to know what he/she/it needs wants, and is comfy in, then throw crap 40years of nuclear on it all

Nice, the costume pieces look like they belong together. And I think the outfit is interesting and complicated just enough, without looking like you wouldn't, in reality, be able to move, nevermind be really active.

Fallout 3 was my original inspiration for doing something like this, but then seeing how well you pulled this off kind of got me going on it. I can now see it's harder than you'd think, especially if you're me and too fat to be an ideal model for your idea, but don't want to pester someone else to model for you. I see now you definitely have a better skill at just putting it all together in a good movie/game quality shot.
The reason I remarked about using real firearms, is the way you wrote the disclaimer in caps, like it is the 'right' thing to do. It all comes down to an individual freedoms thing, and civil liberties for me, which I don't want to even get into with Europeans, but it's a strong political issue for me is all.

Really love your stuff.. just makes me want to write a screenplay and shoot a movie using it. Love everything you make dude. You are seriously skilled, You make it all look so simplistic and easy to make, yet the attention to detail is amazing. Great work.
