I just found out that playing with an unsharp mask on top of the final result makes a beautiful change. I recommend testing it out!

Nice! This will come in handy... for the pic Im doing that doesn't involved fire...? Yeah I know its weird but it I hope I can apply the same principles from here in the pic.

No problem. Making weird fire usually applies for glowie effects too

I want to switch to photoshop, but have no idea what program or tablet to get. What do you use?

:3 I use a wacom graphire intuos 3, and it came with photoshop elements 5.0, though i've used 3.0 and CS2 in the past. even though I've used diff. programs, since it's adobe, they all pretty much do the same thing

yup, it sharpens the contrast of the picture and makes it seem more realistic, which I normally fail at XD but i only use it in moderation :3
