Description
Really, this should be regarded as a work in progress, trying out new ideas and techniques. The idea for this came from a tutorial about painting a bound angel, chained forever. I made a basic render and then used textures and effects to get to this. One of the major issues was changing the brightness and saturation.I like the rather harsh, surreal quality to this.
A lot of props from RNDNA and Renderosity, the character texture is from Plasgard!
Background texture is from smoko_stock..another brilliant piece!

This is amazing. The harsh contrast of the white body against the dirty background looks fantastic!

Very nice work on this. I don't know if it is just me, but his arm in the back looks sort of strange in its position, like it is reaching out of his stomach. Maybe if it were parallel to his front arm or reaching for the sky as a sign of pleading for help? I am sorry if I offended you in any way. It is just something I saw. I think you did a great job on adding contrast to the angel as opposed to the background. The fish hook also adds more of a gruesome scene. I think you did a fantastic job. It definitely caught my eye

Thank you for commenting, I appreciate your observations. Originally I was had a different POV, which made sense of the arm.You are right though, looking at it now, having it raised would be dramatic. Thank you for you comments and appreciation.
