Unitum Invictum: ATM30-Spartan MBT — Description

Designed by General Motors, the ATM30-Spartan was introduced in 2845, meant to replace the UNDC's aging fleet of 12B45-Centurion MBTs the ATM30-Spartan was brought into the fray of the Invasion of The Rift as reports coming in of demons taking wrecked MBTs and/or quickly hijacking crewed Centurions in combat, resulting in demonic abominations of fused flesh and machinery, often with some unlucky tanker screaming their lungs out for help.
This made the Spartan's arrival more pivotal in the conflict. Although the ATM30-Spartans were absolutely a bane to the demonic forces, the real solution to losing tanks to demons was close air support but the Spartans did help a lot.
One of the first units to recieve ATM30s was the 448th Tank Regiment, 'broken Doors' infamous for their first engagement with demonic forces with corrupted/stolen Centurions, the ATM30-Spartans came out on top helping break through the stalemate.
Although by the end of the Invasion of The Rift in 2848. most of the UNDC's tank fleet was made up of ATM30s, with the last surviving Centurions being sent to museums, warehouses to be mothballed or were scrapped.
The ATM30-Spartan would see even more action during the Zordar Civil War, from the Tosharina Campaign in 2862, to the Iron Crown Offensive.
Outright better than its predecessor, the ATM30-Spartan is equipped with electronic countermeasures and EW systems, allowing it to jam and redirect guided munitions head its way, it also has a 150mm railgun as well as an A0M250 Rotary Gun Remote Weapon System (RWS) turret for anti infantry and anti drone defence and a multi-munitions missile/rocket launcher. Capable of firing different kinds of rocket propelled munitions from ATGMs to HE rockets, augmenting its capabilities.
The ATM30 also have much more advanced armour and is much faster than the 12B45-Centurions from the mid 27th Century. This armour was tougher and yet lighter than what was used on the Centurions and helped with weight constraints.
Although despite being bigger than the Centurion, the ATM30-Spartan has a crew of 2 instead of 3, putting the roles of driver and vehicle commander together as space was needed for the autoloader and the ammunition storage. Although some have made proposals to design a version of the ATM30-Spartans with an ASI core instead of a crew compartment for organic crews, making the Spartans automated.
