Scorpio In Space - Blake's 7 — Description
This is a render of the Scorpio, a freighter featured in the fourth and final season (1981) of the classic BBC sci-fi series Blake's 7. The ship is acquired by Avon and his cohorts from a salvage man named Dorian, and they use to escape the planet Terminal after the loss of Liberator. The freighter was rather slow until later fitted with an advanced photonic drive which exceeded speeds even that of the Liberator. Scorpio was equipped with an apologetic control computer named Slave and an experimental teleport system built by Dorian, but later perfected by Avon and Orac. The ship was also capable of landing and was kept in a secret underground hangar used by Dorian on the planet Xenon. Scorpio met her demise in the final episode of the show when she was attacked by a pair of patrol fighters and crashed landed in a forest of Gauda Prime.
