Something really bothered me about this, and I couldn't figure it out. 'Why does Malik look so young?' I mean, it's a totally amazing picture, their hands look perfect, the shading is fantastic, the pillow looks so freakin' REAL!
And then I realized that Malik's hair is different from the original, and it makes him look younger.
But regardless, it IS a beautiful work! Aww, the poor thing, indeed, he looks so cute when vulnerable... And I can't get over his arm, it looks so smooth and pretty.

Indeed, in this drawing, they both look extremely young, I can never make them look as old as I want! Thank you very much, I'm very fascinated by the hands and their gestures and I'm glad you like the result. I have recently started to take better care of the background and the environment of my drawings and I'm a novice with the shadows that project the bodies and objects, but I'm pretty happy with how the pillow is, I'm a bit 'less than the curtains: I think I should have done them better. But it will be a lesson for the next time.
At the next attempt I would also like to add some scar on Altair's body: if he's a veteran of many battles it's more likely that his skin is covered with small and large scars, but I still cannot draw them well; I'm practicing but still I'm not satisfied enough to insert them into a more complex design than a sketch.
I must admit that I liked drawing him so vulnerable, he made me so much tenderness while I was coloring him!
