My Death — Description

"Mother, I am in my last resolve.
I'm starving. We all are starving.
But we must push forward if we wish to get out of this wretched place, our commander says.
I will do as I always told to do, and tomorrow we'll give everything we all have left, but it will be naive for me to say that death is not at my doorstep. So, this will be my last letter to you, Mother. Although this letter will never reach your hands, anyway.
I hope I've been a good son to you. I have so many regrets and guilt that I will always carry on, it only gets worse when I arrived here. I hate that they sent me here just to die. I could've done something better than this, you know?
I see the people I'm fighting against, and their eyes speaks of hatred. I don't blame them, I hate myself too and I hate that I've put myself voluntarily in this hellish place.
