I see your point, but who said Zinnia's an adult? Her age is never stated anywhere, so for all we know and given how she looks, she could just as well be a teenager (Which is what I personally believe, BTW).

Her dialog was because a meteor (deoxys) was going to end the world and she hasent found a way to stop the meteor (deoxys) from hitting earth, there for,she would have lost aster,(deoxys)
