I think I remember there was a meme about these four covering certain... 'Not Safe for Pixar' Scenarios. Like 'Manipulation'.

This is amazing. Β The lighting here is gorgeous. I love how vibrant and illuminated everyone looks. And the expressions capture these guys' personalities perfectly.

Take the plunge. It's wildly imaginative. It's classic Pixar back in good storytelling form. Take the kids and go see it, or just make the trip on your own. If you ever enjoyed one or a few of their movies, I say this is one to win you back again.

The movie was cute but the sadness moral was very confusing to follow.

I took it as this. Joy was always trying to suppress Sadness in the movie, when, you really can't experience true joy in life without encountering misery. It's a healthy psychological cycle. The movie is a literal version of the balance of joy and pain.

I really do have to get around to seeing this movie as some point, the concept seems interesting, some of the character designs are cute, and I've heard good things about it from a few people.
Did a great job here conveying the emotions each of the characters are supposed represent via their facial expressions and body language (Both of which are adorable as far as Joy is concerned). The overall coloring and highlight effect around their outlines also looks quite nice.
