This shot is dedicated to all the people that recently suffered property losses from cyclone Larry in Queensland. They too, like this spider, must carry on and repair the damage done to their homes and livelihood.Related content

No, this shot was taken in south australia, it would be amazing to take photos up in queensland at the moment though.

Mmmm, not really it wouldn't. There were people around the place (ie. around dA) saying how good an opportunity the Townsvillians have, when there was no destruction here at all. On the grand scale of "north queensland", there's only a relatively small area that would have photograph-material devastation- Innisfail, Babinda, Atherton, Mission Beach.

i like how you've brought out the spider and the web in the photo (contrast?) makes it look quite fluid. i have not yet managed to take a half-decent spider web shot so i applaud you

Thankyou very much dunja. I did increase contrast slightly, but the camera had already focussed very well on the web so it wasnt very much at all.
