Awwwww. Thanks!

Of course, I didn't draw the pic. I just colored it and designed the background.

I dunno. Do you find using coloring books odd? I didn't actually know, however, that this drawing was from existing colored imaged. It was posted as lineart in a contest. I colored it. I won, too, if you can believe that

Was it really from a pre-colored image? Hmmmmm.

Nope. I never saw a colored for "Sexy Kitty" at all. But now, I must admit, I'm rather embarrassed to have the piece in my gallery. I had no idea I wasn't coloring original lineart. I'm thinking of removing it.

I have a tablet and a mouse, and I find the mouse preferable! I was always getting wrist pains trying to use the tablet >.<
Neuro-muscular tremors. Aw man, I'm sorry to hear that, but you'd never be able to tell looking at this really nice colouring job ^_^

I'm actually amazed that I handle the mouse as well as I do. It's not bad actually, when I'm just coloring or shading. However, trying to draw anything with the mouse is just pretty much hopeless; even with the "straight line" tool, I can't draw a straight line!

Thanks for appreciating the coloring job, though! As I said before, I do a lot of smudge/blur/erase/repaint/erase/repaint repetitions until I get the edges I'm looking for. It's a good thing I enjoy digital painting as much as I do!

Oh, and before I forget to say anything, wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about that little gift I told you about. I've been a little swamped, but expect to see it sometime this weekend.

No worries, I've been swamped and sick and tired myself. ALL of my work/projects are behind >.<

Thanks! I have a strong suspicion that I'm screwed with you, and a couple of others, entering the fray But just the same, I really look forward to seeing what you finally settle on.

It was a booger to come up with an idea for how to color this piece. It's wonderfully simple and complicated, and full of really cool potential. I actually managed to make my 14-year-old blush when he saw the finished version (evil grin).

lol...

i suck at coloring pictures digitally. i only have a mouse to work with and i have a really hard time keeping my hand steady when trying to shade or highlight. Ah well... we all have things we have to work on.

I know just what you mean. I also have only a mouse to work with, and hands that are very unsteady (I have a neuro-muscular disease that makes my entire body tremor a lot). I end up making a great deal of use of the blur and smudge tools to correct my shaky shade work. Then I spend a ton of time with the eraser, erasing pixels outside the lines and then filling pixels back in that I accidentally erase from inside the lines. I can go back and forth like that for a couple of days before I'm satisfied with my edges

I spent just over a week on this piece, in anticipation of it being chosen as the contest piece. The other piece they were considering was one I've already done (you can see it in my scraps, if you like). I am really glad with they went with the kitty, because it meant I didn't have to think up yet another way to color Sasuke

I really should start following some of the more popular anime shows. I find I really get a kick out of coloring, but I have absolutely no reference for the show-based characters like Sasuke and Inuyasha, etc. I think that was another thing I enjoyed about coloring the kitty: I didn't have to research references and I could just go with what I felt, instead of basing the coloring on a number of other people's versions.
