This is a good help but try saving something in .PNG because some people who've never sprited or scratched before might get the wrong idea.

This has been help, but you shouldn't save in .jpg, only .png.

Out of all the tutorials i have seen, This one by far is one of my favourites.
It has a lot of detail and it also has a lineart Tutorial in it too. (Something i need to work on!)

thanks took me a while to do. i just thought all the spprite tutorials on here are too short and miss out (for me) important part which can make all the difference. by the way i just looked in your gallery and practically all of your stuff is amazin so your gonna have to make a tutorial :3 if it isn't too much to ask XD

I may have to I was planning to once I get all my fakemon posted (my region is going to be 125 Pokemon or so. currently I have around... 100 or so drawn and about 85 or so posted).

cool are you making them for a game or something or just for the fun of it? im tryin to make a game. not goin too well just me on my own mainly i struggling with ideas for the pokemon. its so hard. and i think my sprites just need a little extra something to make them look more pokemony if you get me. cant wait for this tutorial woooo!!

just thought id ask. where do you get your ideas from? are there any like tips cos i really struggle to come up with ideas.

me? well a lot of my ideas are from older designs I made xP but as far as new designs go I have an animal encyclopedia, every so often I look through it and find animals that seem interested and make fakemon out of them, wikipedia.org is also good for thing. Not much of a secret. Also many times people on this site say "you know what would be a cool?..." and say a Pokemon design that hasn't been done and I'm like "whoa, I'll have to draw that".
