Marin (Rio)-Yugioh Zexal — Description
Actually went through with doing another Barian Emperor woop =^-^=, whether or not I draw all 7 will depend if I get into it as a mini series if I decide to draw Nash or Vector as I'm not crazy on the other 3's designs. Okay so Rio who I have previously drawn in her past life sacrificed herself to help her brother win a battle and was reborn as a Barian Emperor but and was later sort of reborn as a child who was in a coma after a car accident which also happened to Nash (yeah Yugioh has stuff this complex lol). Nash who is Shark's Barian persona ends up joining the other emperors as he feels he has to fight for Barian World which results in Marin/Rio fighting by him as she is his sister but after defeating one of their friends she cries which was a great way of showing she was not truly evil. I think this form looks cool but due to the show introducing her later and then her not being a Barian Emperor for too long I kind of feel like they could of done more with her in an antagonist role.

She has a more cold colour scheme which is perfect as she uses an ice based deck, the blue section on her top is suppose to be a bit brighter but my brightest blues are really worn out so I relied on white for light toning. I drew her necklace next to her to show off its design a bite more and I used a dark red+purple to get the darker tone which came out really nicely =^-^=. The mouthless mask style is what I love most about the Barian Emperor designs as it looks really cool and to me kind of makes them more intimidating and it was a fun style to use here. Her hair came out too wide at the bottom though although the colours came out quite well as I used 2 different blues and I think they both played off each other really well.
