Description Having fun with the Gyūki character again; Kyōkō. This time, she has a friend; Takaji. Takaji is the avian counterpart to my [Earthbending] Gyūki girl; belonging to a race I invented myself: the Harriers. Originally, I had intended to write a story about certain monster humanoids that have elemental affinities; the first race I imagined were aquatic creatures [either Merfolk or Tritons], then I added Harriers (as the aerial race), but I couldn't decide on what to use for the terrestrial race, and I didn't want to use Dragons as the igneous race (as I felt it was overdone). But, in the end, I did decide to use a Draconic race (what name to use, I do not know).
Taking a cue from the Avatar universe and the overall gist of the Classical Elements (both from the Hellenic and the Godai), I used opposing elements as a basis for romantic situations. At first, I had Takaji having a crush on a mermaid (her name I have yet to decide on), but was essentially heartbroken when the mermaid decided to go for a Draconic [Firebender?] upstart. He tried to be more open to any future pairings, but drew the attention of a rather loud (and rather large) Gyūki. The large and brutish Kyōkō is the extreme polar opposite of the rather small and timid Takaji; equally opposed are their elemental affinities. Keep in mind that Kyōkō and Takaji are nearly the same age (17 and 16 respectively)...one just physically matured faster than the other. Known to break the rules when it suits her, she would down bottles of Sake, and on one particular night, she [miraculously] snuck up on the lonely Harrier (despite the fact that she stumbled all the way, inebriated in every way). She forced herself upon the diminutive avian; admitting that she thought him rather cute. After exhaustion from an activity that need not be mentioned, Takaji thought to himself "this might not be so bad after all." He was lonely, and a girl literally fell upon his lap (no pun intended). Problem solved! Despite her drunken state, she retained her lucidity, and managed to remember everything. Ever since, the pair were inseparable; Kyōkō became more docile when near Takaji, while Takaji feigned innocent embarrassment.
For the Harriers, I used raptors (birds of prey) as a basis for their monster theme; mainly hawks and falcons. My central Harrier characters all have Peregrine Falcon traits.

As a disclaimer, this drawing has been flagged as Mature...for the intent and purpose of covering my bases.
