Hellooooooooo~ Zawame City! lolThis is my first "1/1 scale" for my SDs,Β
as you can see, the head came from my Gaim SD, a few adjustments and put it on a body that will match up its size..
I know this is a lil bit amazing but I swear I won't do this again.. lol
Why?? I've work this for almost 8 hours! My goodness... So sorry if I won't entertain any suggestion...
I really love Gaim so much, the series, story, the MULTIPLE riders especially Minato-kun~/Marika.
This kind of "whole body/full scale" pixel art isn't new in this community, like the works of and also . I just want to accomplish the same thing since I'm really fond of Gaim right now.
The stance came from tv asahi's gaim site anyway..

Hey, uh, I know this is kind of sudden, but do you remember if you used the whole... "head/body" proportion, and if so, how it was? I'm trying to design some things myself, for which a 1/1 scale is needed, but I'm having trouble with proportions and body size and all... Thought I'd come over here for help?

Well there is a trick for that. Our SD Heads happened to be 1/1 scale helmet/mask (or whatever the character is cladding on his head) itself. You just need to take of the head from the SD body, and put it on the top of an appropriate body scale you could find (as a layer ofcourse). And trace the rest of its body from underlaying image.

Oh right, I want to put this on a separate comment, but what's it like bringing your work to a 1/1 scale? Is there any tips you're willing to provide any of us? I'm interested in the concept and I'd like to tackle it; it's been awhile since I've been this much into pixel art, and I'm hoping to do more like I did many years ago.

Oh thank you so much for such a nice and fruitful comment you did there my friend. Yes I've noticed the difference if I put a darker color for the undersuit, but then again, i just want to do an expanded version of my usual Chibis, by retaining my usual colors and flavors added on to it. That's why I've called 1/1 Scale because the head of my SDs was constructed with a proportional body that could match everything. And like what I swear, this is my first and last time to do such a scale coz it's very tiring, seriously. lol
On the hand. I will agree to your view for this wonderful series. I don't even know that Gen the butcher will create such a refreshing formula for a kamen rider story. My most favorite series is W/Double, but just like you, Gaim dethroned my love for W each and every single episode. If only I will have any power, I would like him to do a sequel for this , even if different characters or whatsoever, Gaim is literally different to any other Rider series. The phase of every saga is escalating so quickly but the transition on it was very satisfying... I was just being "meh" that he didn't do the script for the recent summer. I would be cooler and better if he's the one who write and reconnect everything.
It's fun to see your gallery, and when I was starting pixel arts, I really want to do a ben reilly sprite for mugen, but my talent at that time was such a crap

This is amazing, although a darker blue color for the under suit would have worked better. Then again, I'd rather you forget what I just and consider a 1/1 scale of either Kiwami Arms or Kamuro.
Gaim has also taken the #1 spot as my favorite Kamen Rider season at this point, dethroning Faiz. When you have a writer like Gen Urobuchi on board you're in for something revolutionary. And if anyone wants to say that Kamen Rider is a kids show, then show those people either Shin Kamen Rider, Kuuga to Blade, or Gaim. Gaim and Shin especially, and I think anyone who watches anime a lot (especially those who have watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Psycho Pass, or Fate/Zero) will enjoy Gaim as an introduction to the franchise the most considering this is Gen Urobuchi we're talking about.
It was a fun ride you had to experience guys; DON'T MISS OUT. Watch Gaim, throw away everything you thought about tokusatsu like Power Rangers or Big Bad Beetleborgs, because once you get to the end of the series, you'll be asking yourself "what just happened" because things are going to escalate QUICK.

Thank you so much. I really love what you guys do. I've wished to do the same thing years ago, and I'm glad that I've finally accomplished it. This one is a lil bit bigger though, since I'm using the head of an SD/gmaskot..

The style of templates (called Microheroes) that I use isn't completely 100% body accurate, the head is much larger than it should be for the size of the bodies, but it works very well for comic book characters. Your new base, although using a Gmaskot head has a body that goes well with the size of that head. It's more evenly proportioned than my templates (doesn't mean I'll stop using my stuff, I have a hard time changing things and I like my body or work).

Oh yeah, your templates are perfect for western superheroes.. But it doesn't mean that it is not perfect with tokusatsu too... When it comes too larger scale, you and taiko are my inspirations. ^_^
Your microheroes and taiko templates are great reference for larger scale pixels.

When I started to build my own SD templates (that was the time that I'm tired of modding crimson cafe's gmaskots), I was also "afraid" of Kamen Riders, because of the different accents when it comes to designs. the curves, linings, etc, they were all effing different, and I thought CC's gmaskots are the best. But I was wrong, his/her kamen rider gmaskots could improve more. Which is why I'm enjoying every single Rider up to now (though I won't complete all riders as of now

I'm not putting it on the tags.. Maybe in my every description, there's a super sentai word on the bottom of copyright statement which redirects on my Super Sentai works which is why it also act as tag.
