openCanvas with minor edits in PhotoshopIt's been a while since I last submitted! These past few months have been kind of busy for me. Not to mention, my laptop's still in the shop. ;_;
This was a quick Loveless sketch that I ended up liking and coloring. I'm still kind of awkward with OC4 and so I think it shows through in various areas, but anyways.

such a smooth and light coloured drawing from loveless ^_^ really like the way you drew characters at your style, ritsuka looks little older than in the manga but i think it makes you think what kind of he would be as the age he looks in your drawing. from the hair he reminds little bit semei ~ reminds the part where ritsuka wanted to grow as tall as semei was. the expression he has is little sad, it gives little gloomy touch for the atmosphere. also like the way how you made soubi behind him, it's like for describing how he was on ritsuka's side over the hard times he had. little sketchy lining in some places gives nicely liveliness for the characters as it gives more gentle look to the colouring. colouring is really smooth and gently looking, like the warming colours you used. also like the way how colour goes from lighter to darker in soubi's and ritsuka's hair, it's simple but nice looking detail. also colouring on the clothes is really well done, shadings and highlights are well balanced. those two butterfly combines the characters nicely together like they would be symbol of that they are connected. overall really pretty drawing, keep up the good work !

I honestly thought people would notice the book first. lol. I guess "The Metamorphosis" is too common a title to be automatically linked with Kafka.
But anyways, thanks for the thoughts on this piece!

Yea, Franz Kafka. He's a German novelist famous for his work, The Metamorphosis. Since Ritsuka reads Nietzsche, I thought it wouldn't be a far shot for him to read Kafka (since Nietzsche did lecture about Kafka/The Metamorphosis and all). ;D I thought Ritsuka might have felt a certain bond with the protagonist from Kafka's work given their situation, family hating them and all.

You have no idea how much I'm in love with Ritsuka. He looks gorgeous in your style in general. The colors are so soft, and I love the expression on his face. This is an amazing peice.
