Shiny, yey!
Bit of a variation on a tutorial I learned this from.
Done entirely in Cinema 4D, with a lotta materials and time.
Blues in place of white pieces
Reds in place of black ones

This is awsome, i've got it set as my desktop background actually!
However you do realise you possitioned the king and queen the wrong way round on one of the sides? At the start of the game the king of one side faces the queen of the other! LOL not that it matters

Actually, no. As a rule, the queen always starts on her own color. Because there are an even number of squares (8), that leaves the two end squares in that row opposite colors, thus making the queens face each other.
