Thank you! The effects were all done with the standard filters in Photoshop, played around with the layers, and selectively erased here and there. Took several tries before I got the look I liked.

I haven't used Photoshop before, i just started using gimp for some post work on my renders, so far i haven't attempted to "add" anything in post just error correction, filters and colour alterations. Before long i want to learn to add special effects like these, i had a neat idea from this picture of a girl in space with a helmet on and nothing else, her body would be seemingly protected by a force field looking similar to this effect you have here.

You're off to a great start already! I've been doing this for a little while as a hobbyist, and I learn new things all the time. You've already gotten some great advise on your critiques. I always feel kinda funny critiquing someone else's art, because I know the time and care that goes into it. Having said that.. I often learn a lot from going back and looking at my old work, and seeing where I made a mistake or could have improved things. Also don't be afraid to experiment with your lighting, camera angles, and character positioning! Happy rendering!

I am always grateful for thoughtful critiques, it can be hard to pick out all your own errors after staring at the scene and render for so many hours sometimes they just go unnoticed. Would you be interested in watching me, i am trying to build connections with artist making similar creations. Already i am very happy that i though to do so because the feedback and behind the scenes help i have received has done wonders for quickly fixing errors which would have otherwise derailed my enthusiasm.

Took me a few tries to get the right balance of light and shadow, but I think "Moonlight.." captures it perfectly, thank you for that.. Hehe, that could have also been the title
