Event 1

The war had begun. Scouts that had been watching our borders had finally come with new most of us were expecting long ago. Rham had finally decided to strike us. Their main forces came by land and were well prepared against our own; but we will not give up our homes simply because another wishes to take it. We'll fight back with tooth and nail until we push them out of our lands.

The Queen had dispatched most of the able military units to fight, others to help the villages that had suffered under our enemy's steel. Many others carried out special jobs to weaken our enemies and strengthen our attack. I was no different.

The Queen told me of pirate ships that had been sighted near the beaches far from the main enemy force. This could mean Rham was planning an attack on our city while it was weakened.

So I went to the locations the scouts sighted pirate ships. Most trips were a waste but, after days of traveling, I finally found my target. The pirates seemed to have docked recently and, to my luck, left the ship relatively defenseless when they came to shore. This left me with a huge opportunity.

I carried explosives with me, designed to burn their targets faster and to spread the fire through large areas. Perfect for this job.

When I was sure most of them had left the ship, I sneaked my way into the ship’s depths, looking for the best place to destroy the blasted ship. When all the explosives had been put I lit the trigger and made my way out of the ship as fast as I could. The last thing I wanted right now was to be caught in the blast. Large pieces of wood on my body were highly unnecessary.

I smirked when I heard the explosion. I turned for a quick glance at my handiwork. Truly beautiful. The way the flames illuminated the skies and the seas. But I still had to take care of the survivors. I would keep a few for interrogation. The rest well, they could all meet each other again in the underworld.

To my luck I found a pirate not too far from me, staring at his ship in surprise and glaring at me as I came into his view. Good. I had been itching for a match for a while now.

I sprinted towards him, my natural enhanced speed and agility spurring me forward. As he was running at me, axe raised for an attack, I jumped, managing to hit him in the left forearm. While he was quickly recovering, I rushed past him, heading to cover. I planned to finish them off one by one, but not before surveying how many there were and my surroundings properly.

While I enjoyed face-to-face battle I was still an Anubis. And like most of my brothers and sisters, playing with “food” was indeed one of my favorite activities.

Sorry it took so long x_x I got caught up in exams and tests… It didn’t come out exactly as I wanted it too but I still like it. I hope you like how it turned out ~Sadbloom >.<

PS: I'm also horrible at backgrounds... forgive me for this simple one x_x
