Actually :devxXForensicXArtistXx : seems to have picked up on the local (incorrect) gossip.
I did actually draw this back in 2000 using either an HB or 2B pencil on heavyweight paper based on photo reference.
I scanned it in 2001 so i could submit it and the scanning process gave it the mild sort of sepia tone it has which I preferred to the black and white original. In 2002 I made some minor alterations to increase the dark in the dark areas and I changed the shadow behind the jawbone.

I'm sorry to hear there's gossip going on about your art
that's not good..
I just didn't want to be rude to anyone... I never even saw anyone else upload this drawing. plus, why in the world would a staff member upload a drawing they didn't make? maybe it's kinda like a game of 'telephone', where one person tells someone else something and they hear it or perceive it wrong.

If it was a drawing he did then surely he'd have labelled it correctly.... I'm pretty sure it isn't a leopard.....

It may look like a leopard but I'm pretty sure it's a jaguar.... Leopards have bigger ears and slightly smaller noses...

.... Not really seeing as... Any RESPECTFUL artist would re-search what they're actually drawing... Unless of course they stole it or traced it.

So if wiki pages can be changed of course they're going to say that they look the same... there are distinctive features of each creature such as nose length and colour and ear height and pattern. Their spots are different too, ones more... spotty whereas the other's spots looks like they've been dragged a little.

Your right I amΒ persistent and I'm pretty sure I've provided the correct evidence... You know... Like... All artists should actually know what the fuck they are drawing before you know... drawing it... which leads me to believe that this image is either stolen or traced from a wrongly labelled stock image.

Do you have any proof that it isn't stolen? Bear in mind, this user is FAMOUS for saying that tracing is perfectly acceptable and that re-colouring and editing is perfectly acceptable.

So I have provide evidence for an opinion? It was my opinion that this piece was stolen... Seeing as he seems to think it's perfectly acceptable to steal peoples work so long as you change bits about it or post your watermark on it... But I'd like you to prove that it isn't stolen.... Seeing as you're saying that my opinion is wrong... Prove me wrong? Or can you not do that because the only "evidence" you would have is that the "artist" says that it belongs to them.

It's really adorable how you felt the need to go through my gallery to make sure I wasn't doing what he is doing.... I think you'll find everything in there is 100% mine or I have had permission to use it (such as the photoshopped picture)

Actually sweetie I wrote in the description that it is not originally my photograph I guess what I missed out is that it belongs to an ex-photography student from the course we are on and we were required to photoshop it.
No not really, what I found entertaining is you choosing my comment out of many on here, interesting.

I do not have the permission as it was for COURSE WORK which I highly doubt you'll understand, as the ex second year handed it as a final piece, the college then claims rights to it and is then allowed to distribute it how they see fit, which, is to use it as a photoshop workshop piece.
Surely by YOUR logic, you should be trying to prove that it is stolen... Shouldn't you? Or can you not do that?

Also do you have nothing to say about the fact that you went through my gallery checking to see if there was anything stolen in there? cause that's pretty pathetic seeing as there is no signs that I make a habit of stealing stuff or tracing stuff.
Whilst we're here
Anything else your pathetic ass seems to think is stolen from my gallery?
π: 0 β©: 0
xXForensicXArtistXx In reply to hans-sachs [2014-02-02 00:48:32 +0000 UTC]
No because we were given permission from the tutors at the college? How is that so hard for your seemingly tiny brain to comprehend. It no long belongs to the student as they handed over the rights to it to the college tutors of whom said once we had finished with it we could do what we wished with it. So I uploaded it here to show of my photoshopping skills.

You've once again FAILED to answer the question of "why the fuck where you going through my gallery, if I'm calling this guy out on his shit why the fuck would I do the same shit?!".
So please...
Enlighten me... What else in my gallery do you believe to be stolen my dear? Go ahead, I have a few hours left before I die ofΒ boredom.

Pretty sure I said I didn't HAVE permission meaning I had no physical form of evidence other then the tutor saying that we could do whatever we wanted with it after finishing the workshop.
And no .... I fail to see how it can be bothersome.... I also fail to see why you went through my gallery and why you are now avoiding the question as to WHY you went through my gallery, you might wanna own up before I start throwing some more "false"Β accusationsΒ around.
Pretty sure you can only really say "re-think yourΒ behavior" if you happen to know the person... It's amazing how your stupid ass managed to miss the HUGE stamp mentioning the neuroligical disorder I am burdened with.

No sweetie I didn't think you did.... Bullshit sweetie you've obviously never had to try and understand autism and aspergurs but then again why would someone "normal" bother? I mean it's not like it effects you in any way shape or form and before you pull the bullshitty "I'VE GOT RELATIVES WITH IT" That doesn't count.... And neither does "caring" for autistic people.
But why.... There was literally no reason for you to do so... I haven't been through yours not that I want to So why would you feel the need to go through mine....
Enlighten me.... Is there anything else in my gallery you believe to be stolen?

oh really! Well then I'm so sorry...
I suppose I assumed he wouldn't take it from someone, since he's a staff member.Β
and the staff usually make sure art DOESN'T get stolen ya know?Β

They don't do a good job making sure art isn't stolen. While this isn't stolen, this admin let a traced image go just, because the person who traced colored it differently, an made a different hair style. Everything matched line for line, but tracing is accepted on DA. So if I went into your gallery right now, traced something and posted it as a different color with something ever so slightly altered this good sir would not mind at all =3 It's pretty awesome really, we get to trace and claim stuff as our own on this site ^_^

hmm...well that's news to me because I remember when people stole my art and refused to take it down I reported them and the staff did end up removing it...and it was traced. :/

yeah.. hmm that's not good he would do something like that... do you know who really drew this picture? Maybe he'll take down the picture if the person who made it asks him politely. I had someone trace my art and when I asked the person to take it down they did lol

xXForensicXArtistXx In reply to Ghetto-Superstar [2014-01-18 00:30:59 +0000 UTC]
Unlikely as the original image was filed as stock.... And he's "justified" stealing artwork due to the fact that if we file our stuff as stock or even upload anything... It is free for public use....
π: 0 β©: 1
Ghetto-Superstar In reply to xXForensicXArtistXx [2014-01-18 00:35:46 +0000 UTC]
sorry if this is a dumb question but does stock mean you can use the image with the artist's permission? I have seen people use that word but not sure the definition...Β
