Description
This is the right half of a larger diptych work entitled “Night and Day.” As the working title suggests, the theme for the images was night and day. My concept on that theme was “insecurity;” more to the point, the way night and day an obscure or reveal insecurity. I’m not sure how successful I was to this point. Though that’s something I’m always asking myself. There are certain elements that I would like to change or add to the diptych, what I conceived is different from what I ended up with (which is nearly always the case), but I need to let it sit and allow myself to think those things over (really I’m just tired of looking at it and am to busy begining work on my next project to want to give this one more thought).I realize it needs more hands. The original idea was to have a crowed of uplifted hands in the background, sadly time was not on my side. Hopefully i will be able to go back and add them in at a later time
I should probably say more or maybe just shut up. Telling what the images are about in any detail will just make it boring in the end.
For the fun of full disclosure I will say that the works of Maggie Taylor (if you don’t know her work your missing out) and Dave McKean were on my mind a lot during the creation of these images.
Comments and critiques are always appreciated

It's ... a bit strange. But I find it amazing !
I imagine there is a long work behind such a picture.

The cracked-clay texture of the hands really makes this piece, probably more so than the face at the bottom.

Well thanks. The hands were meant to be the area of focus in this image. I guess my last moment ideas payed off.
