TrippleDragon [2007-12-18 22:54:00 +0000 UTC]

It's awesome,

Without the mirror it has a very different impression. The dilapidation of the room and the old fashioned dΓ©cor suggest something seedy, per haps we are looking a delicately framed murder victim?

But with the mirror in shot, not only is it obviously not a murder, but it becomes clear that the lady is a willing partner.

Another thing I like is the way that the "personality" is "trapped" in the mirror, while the "body" is depersonalised in the room.

It's a really clever composition, hats off to you.

um...ok. I know it was shot "now" and I appreciate it for what it is but like many who have comment here I just saw some things that would make it speak to ME more personally. Just as an appreciator of art. I do hope that my comment didn't stir some sensitive point for you. Best wishes on your work.

I love the use of the mirror here, I love the run in the stockings, and I love that her facial expression is so inviting...there's a playful glint in those eyes.

I still wish I could find a way up there to sit in front of your camera like we've always talked about.

It's a perfect reflection shot, but... the surroundings spoil it for me. I would have prefered a more glamourful bathroom.

Sure, that's an opinion, but born from having spent too many nights in cheap hotels

I really love this shot! I personally wish that certain social artifacts weren't in there (The loofa, the soap pump, the tubes and all the stuff on the sink in general) were it not for those this film would have a very authentically 40's composition. It looks noir-ish and pulp and would make for an awesome print in that style! Great looking piece.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

raphaelclass In reply to JuJimbo [2007-12-17 14:41:46 +0000 UTC]

i have always loved the style of the fourties some people even compair some of my images to that which is a complement

but the pic was taken now

thanks
