Jenny's work with the time institute occasionally landed her in a parallel timestream, and this time around she needed to find a place to lay low while she gathered enough power for the jump back. Nobody had been at the family's vacation home on her world for ages, so it seemed unlikely that she would run into anyone on this world's either. Besides, she kinda wanted to see if this world's Keiko, her on-and-off girlfriend from her younger days, was in town. She was confident their history here would have tracked very similarly to her own, everything here seemed very nearly identical to the world she knew, and it would be nice to blow off some steam (and some pent-up sexual energy) with an old friend, or at least a reasonable facsimile.

In all her travels, she had never come across another version of herself. The time institute discourages meetings with alternates of yourself, but the few times Jenny actually tried to get a glimpse of her alternate life, her counterpart was always off-world too, usually on an eerily similar mission for HER time institute. So it was more than a little bit of a shock when she saw herself, except with pink hair, walk confidently up and give her a very friendly hug. Even more of a shock when she followed up with a passionate kiss that seemed to go on forever, and yet ended all too soon. Then, she smiled and said "Keiko's not around, I'll have to do!"
