I am really liking this model. I have been following your post closely and very much admiring your art. Was this an in camera crop on that D700 or by CS6 ? Does a full figure capture exist? ... From catch-lights I see maybe an octo. key but also an overhead rim-light somewhere to camera left and behind. Superb work my friend. I think your master craft comes more from you being able to elicit just the right expression from your model then the mechanics of studio lighting although you do both so well. Please tell her she is beyond beautiful..Rock on....;~)

Thanks for you comments. Main body of the image was left, but a little of the image was cropped in CS6. This is the full image as shot in the camera, but there was some excess black area which I had not wanted. So no that is the full image.
The fill light and the key light are two 4' x 6' soft boxes with Paul C Buff Einstein 640 watts strobe with a 1 to 1.5 ratio. There is two lights, one a background light into a beauty dish with a soft light fabric, the other is a 10 degree hex light modifier for the hair light, both are powered by Paul C Buff Alien Bees at 400 watts.
As to my models, I try to gain their trust in that I will not take any shots that expose them, and keep them happy and laughing as much as possible.

Thanks for reply and info. Very similar set-up as I use and mine are all Paul C. Buff stuff as well. Keep up the good work. I do admire your courage in posting your art. I did for a while but soon learned the images quickly developed legs and showed up everywhere. It actually didn't bother me but as nearly all of my models are 55 or more and not professional there was some distress in their ranks. It's a generational thing I think. All my keeper efforts now go to print. Thx again.
