The region is called Arkadia, it is located at Peloponnisos (Southern Greece).
The church is near the Aghios Petros (St. Peter) village, at eastern Arkadia.

It's rather far from the places of Greece you are usually visiting!

Ive been in Pelopones too by only crossing it north from patras to athens and in Marathon but only for 10 days so I didnt visit much (only the area of Athens and Mykenos (damm i dont know how it is in english) I was in Epidauros and Delfi and we went to Eubea too
Arcadia seems to be a nice name for a villige - is it really perfect ???

Well, let me help you here:
I suppose you've been to Mykines, an ancient site, one of ancient Greece's kingdoms! Mykonos is an island, very touristic...
You've been to a lot of places around Greece, you really surprised me! You seem to prefer places with archaeological interest, am I right?
Arcadia is not a village, it's one of the 52 districts of Greece...the village was called Aghios Petros (St. Peter), and it was not interesting nor traditional...Ano Doliana was near and it was a very small but traditional village!

Hope to see you somewhere around here sometime Magda...

AHA!!! taht's why I could not find it!!!! Yes when i was a child I wanted to be archeologist and it is still somewhere deep in me
I love history and historical/archeological programmes I just love it
I was in Mykines of course except Eubea I havent been on any other greek island - I have still few I want to visit

OHHH i was in Naphilion too (again I do not know how it is in english) it is teh lovely place with cithadel

It's nice to know that you've been to so many places around Greece sugar!
Of course there are so many more to visit, but I feel so sad that I've never visited Poland yet...

I hope that I'll be there sometime...

I know that Poland is a beautiful and vast country and looks really interesting to me!
If I ever come to Poland, Krakow will be my first stop anyway (EasyJet airlines is a very convenient and cheap way to get there from Athens...).

Greece is full of churches like this one (all of them orthodox). I was lucky enough to have a great sky by my side though

I can't really tell the difference between a church and a temple, so I cannot be more specific...

Well, I think that I understand under the definition of temple the holy buildings in Greece of the pre-christian era. It reminds me of a documentation I saw a while ago about churches in Scandinavian which are build with ornaments of the native religion there. You can say it's a touch-point of two religions.

Ah, now I see...well, there are no such buildings in Greece! Christianism came here almost after the decay of the greek civilization and many churches were built on the site of ancient temples, so as to extinguish them!!

The christians didn't like the ancient Greece and its history that much...
