2 hour speedpainting for this month's challenge on: speedpaintstudies.deviantart.c…Reference used: Lady bug 2
This one was more challenging than I thought it would be. I think because the shapes are so simple, something slightly wrong makes the whole image look off. I'm not sure whether I managed to get my shapes accurate enough to avoid this! I also don't think I made the ladybug look as round and 3-D as I would have liked. My favourite part was probably painting the ripples on the water or the spotty texture of the lilypad.
Feedback and critiques of my work are always appreciated!

You're right about the 3D aspect I think. I hope someone more experienced would explain it to us. It's also in different angle.
