Description My latest project has taken way longer than I expected...  but it's "in-the-can" and only needs a soundtrack - how hard could that be?

An off-shoot of that project is re-rendering Alien Transmogrification

Mature Content

now that I have an updated set, consisting of Michael_C's Scout Ship: www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/sc… , minus its top, plus an updated version of my dome, and the floor I love so much from DM's Teleporter (and of course, the Teleporter itself, here in its role as the  Transmogrifier™)

I also added Juice 3D's Earth and Moon bundle ( www.daz3d.com/downloader/custo… ) which is really quite nice - once you get the atmospheres set up (kinda like life...  ).  My current estimate is that the renders will be done some time Friday night (I'm glad I finally tried out Poser Pro's Queue Manager).  Soundtrack is ready to go from before (well, with one small change I expect...  ), so should have something by the weekend.

And of course: Digital Creations' Little Invader for V4 (incl. saucer[my hatch])

Don't forget to download for the full 1920 x 1080 HD version.

Looks like it will be fun... I'm a bit puzzled by the images of ordinary doors on the wall of the spaceship behind our heroine and the main action...   But I love the lighting in the cockpit of the little saucer and the overall look of the scene!

I think so - though it will be pretty much what we've already seen - from the same angle - but in this new setting.   I'm already gearing up for the redo of the original Transmogrifier™ scene - and of course the other 5 scenes from this series - not to mention the other series I've got going - but you know what I'm talking about there.

Yeah - I was puzzled  by the door too - it doesn't open either; the one to the right of it does and reveals one of two officers quarters.   The floor was pretty conventional too:

I much prefer this one, which also cuts down on reflections.   I suppose in hindsight I could have rotated the ship with respect to the set - but the light on the wall would have been covered.

In any case, this scout ship's got a WHOLE lot more to it than I've explored yet.    In addition to the officer's quarters, there are two crew's  quarters (not quite sure where they are yet!) landing gear, turrets, beams and lights...      I think we're going to have to have a late night landing behind a barn at some point!

I think I'm going to get me that Scout Ship and have a look at it.

I love how this whole series is developing, my dear.

BTW - I should note that the dome is not part of the Scout Ship.     But it's a simple prop I created and I can send you that along with the scaling, etc. to attach it (once the top of the ship is removed - also very easy).

I might like that, Johnny.  I think the library structure is the same in Windoze as it is in Mac OS.  I'm all about modding things.

Hey Molly - if you want to have a look at the dome - this should do it:

ZIP No Preview

Actually - it's very primitive - just an obj file (and a .mtl file).   I'll see if I can get it into my sta.sh later.

I was just playing with it some more - I *know* I got one of those crew doors to open yesterday - but now I can't find it.

The Scout Ship is laid out oddly - it's a figure with body parts - but also lots of attached props.   Can't find any way to turn the floor off - so I doesn't look like I'll be having any cool views up the ramp and through the dome (added by yours truly).

Thanks - we'll just have to see how this plays out.

I am planning on having a look at the model today.  If the floor has a separate texture you can always go into the materials room and turn it transparent (a trick I've used plenty of times).  The texture room is your friend. That being said, sometimes the texture of what appears to be a single component is really just part of a big UV map and making it transparent makes a whole bunch of stuff disappear!

I did look for that and didn't find it - but I'm not sure I looked all that hard.    Let me know if you find anything.

Thanks!   Me too.  Luckily, it wasn't a lot of effort - but it will just be the one from before with  different setting.
