It is a proven fact that the largest polar bears on record are bigger thanΒ the largest kodiak or other brown bears (like the grizzly). However, I do agree that this picture is misleading. The brown bear is a very close second, not 1/2-2/3Β the size of a polar bear as this picture appears to indicate.

Polar and Kodiak are around the same size, with most sources I've seen saying the Kodiak is the larger of the two, though they are close
