it's a scarf that i'm moving in front of my face (the same as inΒ  partiallyhere.deviantart.com/a… )
but it's not an arm, it's my face, profile. see the mouth, the nose, then the darkness of the eye and the hair?

it took me a while to figure out what is redfxx, then i remembered it was the random name of the scrap image. (i tend to put my fingers blindly on the keyboard sometime when naming them, when i'm too tired)
ok, there is no rush. the essential thing is you enjoy the working on it.

iΒ΄m taking my time with redddx , itΒ΄s large canvas - i work with several images at same time like i always do ,
so i will be probably posting other smaller images before itΒ΄s ready .
i see your face clearly on the left side . On the right side itΒ΄s not so clear what i see - it could be your face ,
but it could be almost anything , that part of the picture is so abstract .

it's simply the scarf,Β  and part of the wall behind it
it's photgraphy, not painting, so things are sometimes simply what they seem (well, i know my photos are not always, but here it is )

yes , i was talking about that side of the image right from the start .
i saw it right then , when mentioning building , but itΒ΄s almost skin color .
i thought there must be some gimmick , because of the title , but this time
things are what they seem .

the titles refers sometimes to a state of mind, more than the image. specially in those old times.

i can see connection to your description that continues the title .

uncertain results, negative, positive, surreal sometimes, unreadable most of the times.
reality? is there really a reality..

you inspire me with your endless creativity!...
I log in sometimes to just see your heART.

its especially so encouraging for me to vicariously feed my creativity...which is on a standstill with regards to muself.
you should make a blurb book...
or a blog of your portraits...they are really fabulous darling!...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

partiallyHere In reply to SLpImpressions [2010-07-20 20:42:54 +0000 UTC]

i should inquire what kind of blog would be the best for me, i really have no idea where to start, but it sure seems a very tempting idea.

the blurb too, started too books, one in collaboration...
hmm, i should do something about my laziness..

you're really very kind to tell me this. i see creativity in quantity, but i always fail to see it in quality, maybe because i am too close and i "know" how random it is, how chaotic the process. but i guess it is the final result that counts and i should stop trying to intellectualize it.

There's a softened cubism to this image...which in itself stretches the limits of reality.
You convey such emotion in these portraits, such a sense of fragility...

I'm pleased to have met you, Hanan. Your images are powerful, sensitive, affecting...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

partiallyHere In reply to hummbuzz [2010-07-19 11:41:50 +0000 UTC]

there are angles and lines, a 3-dimensionality, yes softened cubism is a great way to say it.
emotions are overwhelming sometimes. in real life i don't act. in images too.

I'm honored and pleased to hear this, Yvette. the pleasure is mutual!

i love the poetic comment. love the picture too - wonderful angles, and not showing your eyes creates an intriguing relationship to the green area - is it being pulled over your face, is it "reality" being tested with eyes closed - also it's all just nice to look at.

pulled over my face, exactly, to unveil, to be seen while while not seeing.
to reveal the inner sight, the things we see eyes shut.

thanks dear
