Customs and security control II — Description

The "rendered image of the week" is once again a reimagining of an old image of mine. Two days ago, I posted the overview for the redesign of the Plostrasinus-Class. This is now a new version of the image for which I originally created the Plostrasinus-Class.

The scene depicts a customs and security inspection conducted by ships of the Thenyke System Defense Force (Thenyke-SDF), a Jaffa world and member of the Union, and the 1106th Space Operation Commands (SOC).

Upon reviewing the original version of the image, I noticed a mistake. Therefore, and because I now have a more powerful rendering program, thanks to GateGirl86 , the reimagining is not an exact copy, but rather a corrected scene with three additional ships.

At the center of the scene is a Plostrasinus-Class freighter, which, as mentioned, is undergoing an inspection by ships from the local SDF, supported by ships from the nearest SOC. Informants from the Thenyke Office of the Intergalactic Security Agency (ISA), the federal law enforcement agency, reported that one of the pirate gangs operating in the Thenyke system could steal weapons-grade Naquadah and smuggle it off the planet.

In front of and behind the freighter, you can see Ka Yasha Qusak'tal-Class corvettes. Ka Yasha is Goa'uld and roughly translates to "Mk II." In the original image, there were mistakenly Ka Daar Qusak'tal-Class corvettes, or Mk I Qusak'tal-Class, which I have now corrected. These ships belong, as mentioned, to the Thenyke-SDF, a Jaffa world and member of the IUSP, whose economy is based on resource extraction and export, particularly of Trinium and Naquadah, as well as the spaceyards of Bal'athi Shipyards. The corvettes are also a product of this company.

The small spacecraft surrounding the freighter are B-305β/H Heavy Bomber/Escort Ships. Joining them from the upper left and right are Kawalsky-Class frigates, and from below the freighter is a Vaselov-Class destroyer, standard version. These three aforementioned ship types belong to the 1006th SOC, the Union fleet responsible for this sector.
