Just a bunch of doodles to do with my upcoming costume project-thingers. I thought it'd be really fun to make a turret costume! :3All of my real costume designs for this are in my sketchbook and they're super-sketchy and rough-looking so I did this version to upload here. Fingers crossed it'll turn out irl the way I'm imagining it, hmm?

Oh neat!! Do you have any pictures of how it turned out, I'd love to see a finished actual version of this! (Mine was a massive rush job so it looked nothing like the drawings, haha.)

you could spray paint a baseball cap pure white and use that as a helmet instead of a swimming cap
you could also put like a really low power laser or something in the middle of the eye

Thanks for the input! Since making this design I've decided I'll be making the cap/helmet from the same PVC I'm using for the panels. I'd like to have the eye fitted with a light, but unfortunately I don't think I'm going to have time before the end of October. *sigh*

I've got a convention at the end of the month ^_^ When I get to work on it next week, I'll be taking progress photos

*laughs* I did a ninja costume for Halloween a couple years back, and I realised that it's perfect to wear under all the turret garb

It would be most interesting to this... I hope you get a voice changer or something as well... Or unless you do a very good impersonation of a turret, I do not know

I dunno, according to Rocky my turret impression is really good? *laughs* I'm gonna have a lot of fun making this, I've not seen a turret costume done this way before so it'll be interesting
