it was a lot of playing around with the perspective,and i used an explosion fx,a shatter, and ... yes, i played a lot with the transparency of the materials themselves. Once imported into Photoshop, you mess with the adjustment layers and gradients. The solid blue color put on exclusion mode, with reduced opacity renders a really cool effect..
