I wanted to express a kind of atmosphere of between this world and the other world. This girl is no longer the person in this world, and the white sunflowers which also appear in my other works bloom in the world where she lives now.

a mysterious portrait, her hair enveloped in a snow-storm, a blizzard of hair and ice and petals, her ice-queen look, but further down, the warming glow of sunflowers against the milk-white skin. A soul for two seasons...

This girl has been appearing in my arts since 2009, and also she appear a lot of artworks that I've been submitting on dA, like When Flowers Flutter, When Flowers Flutter 2, Kataku (Burning-house) 3, Kataku19 (Burning-house 19).
She is usually a person in the otherworld, white sunflowers are too. I wanted to express a spiritual atmosphere in this piece as I tried in previous artworks. This sunflowers are not flower in summer like in this world, it is natural that you feel two seasons in one image.
