Mind the Frame — Description

Studying in this city meant one constant: giant East Asian women passing through the old streets like it was nothing.
For Lisa, it was just background noise.
“Take a picture of me here!” she said, posing in front of the fountain, totally absorbed.
I lifted my phone — and a massive girl in leggings stepped straight through the shot.

Without thinking, I shouted up:
“Hey! Can you watch it? We’re taking photos!”
The giant woman stopped.
Slowly, she turned her head down toward us, her expression calm… almost bored. “Oh? Is that so?”
Before I could respond, she stepped closer — one smooth, quiet stride — and lifted her huge Nike-covered foot. She held it above Lisa, not touching her, not even lowering it… just hovering, as if to show how little effort it took to dominate the entire scene.
Lisa didn’t notice a thing.
She was still smiling at the camera like nothing was happening.
The giant girl glanced at me again, voice cool:
“Maybe be careful with your tone next time.
It’d be easy to… overlook someone this small.”
Not a threat.
Just a statement of fact.
Then she lowered her foot back to the cobblestones, turned, and walked on — as casually as if we hadn’t existed at all.
I stood frozen, phone still in my hand.
“Did you get the picture?” Lisa asked.
I swallowed.
“…Yeah. Yeah, I got it.”
