Again, Really? — Description

We were just lounging—me with my laptop, half-working, half-scrolling, and him doing whatever it is tiny boyfriends do when they’re bored. I knew the look already. He was standing near my shoe again, staring like it held all the secrets of the universe.
Then came the question.
“Babe… you thinking of taking these off soon?”
I glanced down at him, raising an eyebrow. “Really? Again?”
He was already touching the side of my sneaker like it was holy. I could see the way his fingers lingered a little too long on the side of the sole.
Then the begging started. “You know I love it. And you always say you like how I worship your feet…”
I closed my laptop and sighed, though a smile tugged at the corner of my lips. Of course he remembered that. Of course he’d bring it up.
“You’re lucky you’re cute,” I said, lifting my heel slightly so he could get the shoe off. Honestly? It was weird. But kind of sweet, in his very tiny, very him kind of way.
