Netty — Description

Mrs. Netty ended up much more chibi than the rest of the characters I've been drawing, but I really liked how the pose turned out. It's also fun to use a different lined color for her hair. She's always been one of my favorite characters. ♥

Netty:
The only daughter of the Jurants, who own an enormous tree farm (and thus, and enormous amount of wealth in the town), Netty grew up fortunate to have opportunities that others did not. One of these included being enrolled into the most prestige school in Antova; Tassledon. Although her parents are hands-on farmers through and through, she's always been fascinated by the use of magic. Even though it wasn't their first choice for her, they sprung for her enrollment to the school during a time in Wynsiph that was quite bleak. And so, her parents were much more willing to ship her off just to get her out of Wynsiph at the time.
Sadly, Tassledon did not quite work out the way Netty had planned, and she was back home only a couple years later with a broken spirit. In the time she was gone from Wynsiph, so many changes had taken place in the town, including the ban on using trivial magic. A couple years later, Netty left Wynsiph yet again to travel, feeling out of touch with the town she'd grown up in. It's been about 10 years since anyone has seen her come visit, and the town feels a little sadder due to the absence of her smile.
