Purple Flames — Description
Part 1-->

After helping to accompany Nida and helping her with her last week of earth magic, Nida asked him if he needed any help with his homework.
Knowing full well that Nymble didn't really need any help, she felt it was the polite thing to ask.
Plus, perhaps it was a good way to get him to talk to her about things. Nida knew there was something up with him.

The lights of the town made the flame colors less vibrant, so they made their way back towards Ms. Netty's school, and where Nymble was currently staying.
It was a bit off course from where most of town was and the surrounding woods were perfect for practicing in the dark.
Stopping in the middle of a field filled with coatalatails, Nymble began to show Nida all the different colors of flames he had mastered.
Pink, blue, bright red, purple, yellow and green! So many cool colors that Nymble could switch between.
Nida thought it was such a cool and pretty ability.
preferring Earth magic the best, this ability had particular charm regardless of her preference.

"I see you've mastered all the colors." Said a voice coming out of the darkness.
"Ms. Netty, hello!" Nida greeted their teacher, coming over to see what they were up to.
"Ooooo!" Cooed the curious voice of little Thistle from her pouch. Nida poked her nose and giggled at the adorable little Wyngling.
Nymble smiled as Netty sat down with them.

"Now, what is your preferred flavor?" Netty asked Nymble.
"Flavor?"
"Nymble you weren't there for the demonstration again, were you?"
Nymble scratched the back of his head, embarrassed.
"Come on dear, you have to at least show up and pretend to learn." She gave him a slightly cross look.
Nida smiled, an expression seeming to agree with her teacher. Why was Nymble even here in class if he wasn't going to come to the demonstrations?

"Now," Netty continued, her scolding short and sweet, "Your flavor is what color comes most natural to you."
"...Wouldn't just... plain old orange fire be the natural for everyone?" Nymble questioned.
"Haha after you start learning how to color fire, you'll find that one particular color will come easier than even natural fire color! Even Zagor's natural color is brighter red than a natural flame. It's subtle, but it's true!"
"Hmmm.... I've never really tried to see which one is easier. I just sort of decide which one I want at the time."
"Try not to think about it too much. You've been doing this for a while. Has there ever been a time where your subconscious made the fire colored something without you deciding?"
Nymble thought hard. One instance came to him! But he wasn't too excited about this revelation for some reason.
"Yeah... one time I can think of."
Nida recognized that sadness in Nymble's eyes again, but it was very brief as always.
"Close your eyes and think about something random, or nothing at all." Netty instructed.
Nymble did so.
"Alright, now just conjure a flame like you normally would. And no opening your eyes!"
Nymble obeyed, a tiny flame lighting from his index finger. The flame erupted as a normal orange but quickly warped into a purple flame.
"Ohhhhh purple!" Nida exclaimed, "Is that Nymble's flavor color?"
Nymble opened one eye to see.
"Very nice Nymble! See now, this is the color that comes most natural to you." Netty explained.
Nymble gave a half hearted smile, "Purple is such a girly color, haha. I was hoping it would be blue or.. green or... something."
"Hey!" Nida let out an angry retort, "Purple is my favorite color! It's so pretty!" She looked starry eyed at the pretty flame.
"Ironically" Netty conjured her own purple flame, "That's my flavor color as well!" She smiled warmly.
Nymble smiled with his mouth open. "Wow really? I never knew that!" Somehow, this gave him more confidence.
"See? It's awesome!" Nida said.
"Hahaha, okay, I guess it's pretty cool." Admitted Nymble.

Collab with ToonieCheckers ! She did the sketch and base colors, and I lined and did the shading/overlays/background! It was fun!

And finally done with Intermediate magic class YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. I can't wait to do classes with someone other than Nymble lolz.
