Ich kann deine Einschätzung von Ophelia allerdings nicht teilen. Ich finde sie ist ein ausgezeichnetes Model, das sehr professionell arbeitet und darüber hinaus ist sie sehr sympathisch, was es umso angenehmer macht mit ihr zusammen zu arbeiten.
Natürlich muss man ihre Bilder nicht mögen, genauso wenig wie meine. Es wäre ja auch sehr langweilig, wenn wir alle das Gleiche mögen würden.

This is a good shot - I love the expression and the design, but I think the category doesn't fit the lighting (or the other way around...). I would say that this lighting suggests a glamor portrait. To make the same positioning more expressive I would opt for a more directional light (probably a honeycomb instead of a soft-box, offset a little to the left, and colors leaning more towards the warm, amber type, keeping the background darker, giving the whole image a more ambient feel. Just imagining this image with that light gives me goose bumps!
Or its just me... The model is excellent here an you are lucky to have her, and I stand behind my first words - it is a very good glamor portrait!

There was definitely some glamour influence in the concept. But in the end the classification into a category is always very subjective. In my personal view this is definitely more an expressive work than a glamour portrait or a beauty shot. But every viewer has the right to define what this work means to him. Thank you for your thoughts, I appreciate it!

I couldn't agree more regarding the subjective nature of classification! after writing this comment I had a look at you gallery, and found that your work is generally very expressive, and this one is no exception. I am always honest (and very subjective...) in my comments, and I don't think this image isn't expressive, but in my mind's eye the expressiveness could have be enhanced by different lighting. The dynamics of a photo session don't a;ways allow for the perfect lighting, as sometimes the moment happens, and stopping to adjust light may kill it, but I share my thoughts nonetheless.
My proverbial hat is off to the sensitivity and creativity of your work!

I think it's different too. I like to keep an open mind and try different things every now and then. It was very exciting to see this concept realized because I wanted to shoot this for quite some time. Photography is a great journey and I love every single part of it.
