Description I saw some of these tutorials but most of them are very simple with just one layer and not complete.
So I just made one, I hope it helps

I used photoshop for this work. I do not know if Paint Tool Sai or Gimb work the same or similar.

Ah wonderful tutorial. I always sort of wondered how do people get that type of fur shading. ;o; It just looks awesome. Β And it should really work with any software which has layer functions. :3

Yes basically it works with all programs where you can make separate transparent layers and when you have a wand tool and can lock the layers to provide accidently overpainting the lines, it should be rather easy.
