Description
*stampingqueen wrote and I agree:"For some reason this reminds me of the painting of Venus in the giant clam shell. If this is the male equivalent of that piece tehn it should be called Mars Rising.
It has the same kind of elements. The one of Venus has all the things that represent a woman... all soft and beautiful. This one kind of has all the stereotypical things that represent men. Aside from the obvious man... it is a harsh landscape. It looks rough and dark and a little distant. All things that we associate with those hard to get through to guys in our life. At the same time parts of it have a softness and he has a bit of vulnerability going on (his unprotected nakedness) that we also tend to associate with the right kind of guy in our lives who we have a little hope for NOT turning out like all the other jerks in the land that we have stumbled across."
Anyways, this was a major work. Hours and hours of tinkering.

Daaaaamn. *stampingqueen is right. And the work you put into this is so evident. He really does have a classical body, too. It fits perfectly, especially for Mars.

Yes she is
Pictures of the model are so damn amazing (wants one copy of him to take home ).
As to work - damn hundreds of layers. Mainly with the background.

Just a thought but that is my impression of this piece. I really like it Great job on blending all the elements together. I have learned a little about blending in the past week or so ... I can only imagine the tinkering you did on this one. Good job!

You know what - I think you are right. It does resemble that painting. This is very strange but...
I will rename it.
And thank you very much for sharing your impression

This is something I don't usually do. But then again, I do a lot of stuff I don't usually do
I think I'll wait with the title, though. See if anyone else comes up with something

I do, too. If you haven't seen his stock so far, I suggest you take a grand tour - he's got absolutely marvellous images available. (PS. the cock spiky ring was already there, not of my putting )
Face in the clouds actually came with Kat's stock. But I really loved that idea.
Moody piece, yes. I am very moody tonight. Comes from a crazy sleeping schedule and lack of sleep. Overemotional.
