Oil on canvas.Size: 24" x 48".
One of a series portraying women, relatively scantily clad, trapped within the confines of the canvas edges. The canvas itself becomes a cell, or a cage, and it puts the viewer of the piece in the position of a voyeur, looking in on this woman who has no choice but to be entertainment to passersby.

Ooh, I think I like this one even more. Her legs are a little odd, but the pose is so different from the last one (On Display). She looks less feral and more tortured, as though the walls were closing in around her. I think the hand on the far wall really grabs at me emotionally, as well as the bend of her head.
